Our ADR / Hazardous Chemical (HazChem) Training Course covers the regulations and safety procedures relating to the carriage of dangerous goods by road contained in packages, IBCs, Bulk and Tanks. Certification is valid for 5 years and refresher training must be done in the final year of current certification. To obtain a Training Certificate the driver must:
- Attend (in full) a course at an Approved Trainer Provider
- Successfully pass the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Examination. (Exam costs are additional to our course fees.)
Initial Basic Training
Drivers transporting dangerous goods in packages, drums or IBCs in vans, curtain side trucks, HGV’s, box vans or freight containers are required to attend a 3-day Initial Basic (Packages) Course and pass the CILTI Initial Basic examination.

Tanker Specialisation
Drivers transporting hazardous substances in tank carrying vehicles (e.g. road tankers, tank containers, demountable tanks etc.) are required to attend the 3-day Initial Basic course and an additional 2-day Tanker Course and pass both the CILTI Initial Basic exam and the Tanker exam.

Refresher Training
The ADR HazChem Driver Training Certificate is valid for 5 years. To extend the ADR HazChem driver Training certificate, a driver is required to attend a Refresher course and pass the appropriate CILTI examination before the certificate expires.
Drivers transporting goods other than tanks require a 1 day refresher training

Drivers transporting good in Tanks require a 2 day refresher training.
Refresher Tanker 2 day Course Cost €350
